Terms of Service

By accessing or using GenerateMyReceipt, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

GenerateMyReceipt is a template-based document design service that lets users create and customize receipt-style layouts for legitimate recordkeeping, internal documentation, design previews, creative mockups, educational examples, and similar lawful purposes. The Service may include templates, editing tools, downloads, saved projects, account features, and paid upgrades.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features from time to time. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before materially reducing the core functionality of a paid plan during a billing period you have already paid for.

You may use GenerateMyReceipt only for lawful and legitimate purposes. Examples include internal business documentation, reimbursement preparation using truthful information, personal record organization, educational demonstrations, design references, and creative projects.

GenerateMyReceipt is not a merchant, payment processor, bookkeeping firm, tax adviser, receipt verification service, or representative of any third-party brand shown in a template. We do not issue merchant-authenticated receipts, verify transactions, or confirm that a generated document reflects a real-world purchase.

You agree to:

• Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Enter only information that you have the right to use and that is accurate for your intended lawful purpose.
• Keep your account credentials secure and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
• Review every document before sharing, storing, printing, downloading, or submitting it.

You are responsible for your use of the Service and for any document or content you create through it.

You must not:

• Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activity.
• Create or submit false or misleading receipts for refund fraud, reimbursement fraud, tax evasion, insurance fraud, chargebacks, warranty claims, or other deceptive conduct.
• Impersonate a merchant or person, misrepresent a transaction, or falsely claim that a generated document was issued or authenticated by a third party.
• Use a name, logo, trademark, image, or other content without the rights or permission required to do so.
• Upload malicious code, disrupt the Service, bypass security or access controls, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated. We may also preserve or disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or threats to safety.

The Service, including its software, design, original content, features, and GenerateMyReceipt branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purposes.

Third-party names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in a template does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or authorization.

You remain responsible for the text, names, logos, images, trademarks, line items, prices, notes, and other material you enter, upload, or generate through the Service ("User Content"). You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful authority needed to use that content.

We do not claim ownership of your lawful User Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, store, reproduce, and display it only as necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. You may end this license by deleting the relevant content or your account, subject to reasonable backup periods and legal retention requirements.

The Service may process or store drafts, saved projects, template settings, exports, and related configuration data in your browser, in our systems, or both. Storage depends on the feature you use, whether you are signed in, and whether you save a project or export.

Unless the Service expressly states otherwise, you should not assume that generated content is private, permanent, merchant-authenticated, or suitable for storing highly sensitive financial, tax, identity, health, or payment-card information. You are responsible for maintaining any copies you need and for deciding what information to submit.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Service. By using GenerateMyReceipt, you acknowledge the practices described in that policy.

Some features require payment or a subscription. By purchasing a paid plan, you agree to pay the price, applicable taxes, and recurring charges disclosed at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing interval you selected until cancelled. You may cancel through your account or billing portal, and paid access will ordinarily continue through the end of the current billing period.

Paid plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee. To request a full refund, email [email protected] within 14 days of your initial paid-plan purchase and include the email address used for the purchase. Except where required by law, payments outside this guarantee are non-refundable, including charges for renewals, partial billing periods, or unused time.

If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a technical billing problem, contact us and we will review the issue in good faith. We may change prices prospectively, but any change will apply no earlier than your next renewal after notice is provided.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue.

When access ends, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including intellectual-property rights, User Content responsibilities, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and payment obligations—will remain in effect.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, legality, merchant acceptance, and availability.

GenerateMyReceipt is a document-design tool, not legal, tax, or accounting advice. You are responsible for confirming whether a generated document meets the legal, tax, reimbursement, or recordkeeping requirements that apply to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenerateMyReceipt and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service during any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us during that period or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of GenerateMyReceipt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Before pursuing formal legal remedies, you and GenerateMyReceipt agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith communication.
